Respect Life Apostolate
of St. Madeleine Catholic Church
 

 

 

The Respect Life Apostolate (RLA) of St. Madeleine Catholic Church is one of many ministries in our parish. The RLA provides leadership for respect life activities and works in conjunction with other parishes in the Gainesville Deanery to foster a Culture of Life in North Central Florida.

 

 

 


Mission Statement

The mission of St. Madeleine’s Respect Life Apostolate is to defend the life and dignity of every human person! We are committed to the following goals: (1) protecting the right to life of unborn babies, (2) defending the rights of the elderly and disabled, (3) promoting reform in the criminal justice system to make the death penalty unnecessary and (4) fighting against human trafficking in our community. We wholeheartedly reject the “culture of death,” and promise to build a “culture of life” in our parish.

 

About Us

 

St. Madeleine Catholic Church, along with eleven other parishes, belongs to the Gainesville Deanery in the Diocese of St. Augustine. The Respect Life Apostolates of these parishes claim the patronage and protection of Our Lady of Guadalupe; who is also known by her two other titles, the “Patroness of the Unborn” and the “Patroness of the Americas.” We invoke her intercession in all that we do and say, and ask, that in her divine maternity, we be protected as we work to become a voice for the voiceless in our community.
